The reason I opted to use a JavaScript program to list these updates is because I felt that the raw paragraphs simply looked like an eyesore and would quickly mount up to a page that might detract from the overall look of the site. But, at the same time, I felt that there was a need for a non-JS look for these mounting update bits. So, that is why this plain page even exists.

18, - Site first created as an attachment to The Big List of Knight Rider site. Basic navigation and outlay pages were built and installed. Web board and site counter was activated and installed. Posted the first public link to this site on the KnightRiderOnline board.18

20, - Early game screen shots and story plot added in their appropriate pages. And the navigation links were given some basic OnMouseOver JavaScript to enhance their look. Added a eye catching graphical link to this page from the front page of The Big List.

22, - Added a little tribute to the games that helped inspire me on how to proceed with the game graphics. Fixed a fact error.

28, - Minor web site tweak. Download Game page, links and Big List link updated to reflect that the game is not ready for downloadable status. Minor amount of work done on the graphics in the game.

1, - Some work was done to the Level Editor for the game. Not much else done, due to my work schedule.

5, - Added a whole ton of background music tracks, heard from the show. The song list can be seen at the etc. category page.

6, - Finding work to eat up so much of my time, that I have not had much room for working on the game or the sites. A couple changes were done to the list. But, that is all.

26, - Continued work on the soundtrack system for the game. Work is slow, since I decided to add so many tunes to the game.

27, - Added some more tribues to games that helped me along in the making of this KR game in the Etc. section of this site. Also, added some missing tune names in the Etc. section. Then, ran out of time to do any more. :(

8, - Added this little javascript program that would tidy up the update section. Little else has been done.

11, - A tragic day in American history when four major airline planes were hijacked by terrorists and crashed into the Twin World Trade Towers in New York and The Pentagon in Washington, D.C. An untallied number of lives were on lost this morbid day.

19, - Added the rest of the Road Rash Jailbreak images to the etc. page. It operates all in javascript.

22, - Included a quick tribute to Test Drive II in the etc page.

27, - Began work on an entirely new song for the final stage in the style of those classic Knight Rider background songs.

28, - Completed the song and encoded it into an MP3 file to compress the file size.

3, - Created the first version of the Screen shrinking game over song.

18, - Began work on the Nintendo Knight Rider tribute and review page. Began grabbing in-game images to place on the site.

19, - Furthered work on the Nintendo Knight Rider tribute and review page. Most images were ready.

21, - Decided to include even more information for the NES KR page and split it up into three pages, so that the excessive graphical content would not be a problem for visitors.

29, - It came to my attention that this web site, KnightRider.8m, had exceeded the monthly traffic limits. Which meant no list for 2 days.

30, - The Knight Rider Online web message board went down with a major error.

31, - Due to traffic restraints by the server, this sub-game site was copied to another site in an attempt to keep the whole site operating throughout every month.

3, - Started work on a 2-D radar system to help take care of the impact and road management problems.

4, - More work on the radar was done. Also, a couple minor bugs that made the game crash and a couple images function improperly were fixed. Minor site additions were made.

7, - I just have not been much in the mood for programming these last few weeks. Today, I added some work to the hit detection radar system. KARR is currently driving like a drunk driver. I plan on adding some intelligence to his driving program to remedy that.

10, - Began to continue work on the radar system, when I decided to do other computer tasks. Including updating the anti-virus...which caused a malfunction for 8 hours.

11, - Got the computer back up and running. Proceeded to continue work on the radar system. Part of KITTs damage detection is now present in the Radar. Images were added about the Radar updates in the Screenshots section.

13, - More radar work done. Traffic vehicles are now moving, but very strangely and unrealistically. Looks like KITT is mowing down toy cars.

13, - More radar work done. Just figured out how to make the traffic appear both in front of AND behind KITT through scripting. Although, having both KITT and KARR pull off the trick will need more study and experimentation. I now have new hopes of pulling off a true curve effect via an advanced VB line graphics mode.

14, - Added the rest of the musical collection to the game jukebox. Jukebox code was also added to support the new songs.

15, - More jukebox code was added throughout the night.

16, - Continued to add jukebox code. The work is slow and repetitive.

17, - Continued to add even more jukebox code. Closing in on making the games jukebox version 1.0 complete.

19, - More jukebox code added. Chosen songs can now be saved between gaming sessions. Some FAQ information was added to this websites Help page about possible audio problems. msKEN has volunteered to supply a jukebox face image to the Jukebox Menu Screen.

20, - Now that the Jukebox is nearly complete, I have begun to patch remotes for it into the Main Menu background music and other menus that branch off of it, replacing the single play KR theme only midi. A few bugs were discovered and corrected in the process.

21, - Polished up the Jukebox code with some mundane TabIndex and ToolTipText additions. Also fixed another minor bug and started adding joystick code to the first level screen. Thought more about what could be than actual programming. Like an unofficial sequel to the old arcade game Berzerk.

22, - Added more code for the joystick support. There is a new problem. The joystick and the mouse are getting along like cats and mice. And this cat/joystick is most certainly eating the mouse/mouse. The keyboard interface is being friendly to both. I must find a way to put the cat out when the mouse has to play...

23, - The joystick controls were refined a little. It can now be turned on and off in the menu. The Key Set Menu was updated to support the new gas pedal and power key strokes. A background music error was fixed in the process. And a couple web site errors were found out and fixed.

25, - Merry Christmas!!!

26, - Updated the game credits.

27, - Added some more session save code.

1, - Happy New Year!!! May 2002 be happy and superior to 2001 in every way!!! Worked on giving a secret page some scrollability.

10, - Began work on adding a simple lottery sub-game that will give away secret passwords to winners that will change the way the game runs and grants access to secret areas.

14, - Added some code into one of the sub-games to make it more functional.

16, - Coded some more of the Gun Fighter sub-game.

17, - Spent most of the night fooling around with a powerful and user friendly pinball game creation tool called DogFood5. Holds promise for a possible Knight Rider type pinball game.

23, - Played around with an early setup of the Michael Knight interview screen and its visuals.

24, - I began to build the course map data for all the vehicles to follow and for KITT's mapping screens.

25, - More of the map course was constructed.

2, - Worked on making a cool looking hour glass timer for the game.

4, - Finished fine tuning the hour glass effect.

11, - Added a little mini-game called Lucky Sand Grains.

12, - Refined some of the code on the Lucky Sand Grains mini-game.

18, - Finished the coding for the Lucky Sand Grains mini-game. A picture is now posted in the Screen Shots section of this web site.

25, - Today, I practiced with some new commands that did on-screen line drawings in Visual Basic. Hopefully, it will make curves possible without bogging the game down.

6, - The Knight Rider Online web message board went down with a major error.

13, - Did some work on making a story writing tool in the graphics area. The program I am using is called RPG Toolkit Development System.

27, - Began work on an overhead view for K.I.T.T. while he was being driven around inside the city limits.

19, - Today, I declared this game to be officially on hiatus until the computer it was being written on is repaired. Like it mattered much, seeing as how I have not gotten back to the game due to other pursuits, like money making work.

13, - (Yes. two thousand and three.) So much time has passed since my last update. I now have that new computer and I am putting back together the net stuff. Used part of yesterday and today backing up this web site. Fixed one of the front page errors. I plan on returning to the creation of this game. Time is a problem. VBasic and game files are not ready.

13, - No. This is not a mistake. I felt two entries were needed. For this new computer came at great cost. The death of my grandmother in August. I can not recall the exact date. She had a great life and a fairly merciful death. Maybe I should put in a dedication to her through the KR game...

14, - Some more site work was done. That is all.
